Join us November 22, 2014, for Smartie-Pants Trivia Night – our sixth annual fundraiser to benefit the Jessica and Kelli Uhl Memorial Foundation.  The Foundation funds scholarships for high school students wishing to pursue higher education.

The event will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 402 E. Highway 50, O’Fallon, IL.  Doors open at 5pm, trivia begins at 6pm.  Stay after for live music provided by The Pedestrians!

We will offer silent auction items and raffles, including a special raffle to benefit Backstoppers.

Our annual fundraiser will be held on November 22, 2014, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in O’Fallon, IL.  We are hosting Smartie-Pants trivia night!  All proceeds benefit our scholarship foundation which assists deserving students from the Collinsville, Illinois area with their dreams of higher education.  For $20 per person or $200 per table of 10, you can claim the title of Smartie-Pants!

At our previous fundraisers, we have also chosen a local charity to support, such as The Cinderella Project, The Red Cross, or our local foodbanks.  This year, we have chosen The Backstoppers, Inc. Backstoppers assists the families of fallen law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics or EMTs.

Due to the unease in Ferguson, Missouri, Backstoppers has postponed their popular Guns and Hoses fundraiser which is traditionally held before Thanksgiving.  Many families rely on the money raised by Backstoppers to help them, especially during the holidays.  We would like to help Backstoppers this year by hosting a special 50/50 drawing.  Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 tickets for $5.00.  Half of the money collected will benefit Backstoppers and help them to continue offering financial support to the families of fallen first responders.

On November 5, 2012, we will hold our annual blood drive in memory of Jessica and Kelli.  It will be at the KC Hall in Collinsville, IL, from 3pm to 7pm.  The street address is One Columbus Plaza, Collinsville, IL 62234.

Our annual fundraiser – Tropical Trivia! – will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2012, at the KC Hall in O’Fallon, IL.  Doors open at 6, and in addition to the trivia contest, we will have a silent auction, raffles, and other fun activities.  More details will be available later this week as to costs and how to reserve a table.

Today a section of Interstate 64 between Mascoutah, Illinois and O’Fallon, Illinois will be dedicated as the Jessica and Kelli Uhl Memorial Highway.

Many thanks to Sen. William Haine and Rep. Dwight Kay for their work in having Senate Joint Resolution 40 passed to bring this memorial to a reality.

We hope this memorial will serve not only as a reminder that unecessary high speed and distracted driving can be deadly, but also serve as another way to remember Jessica and Kelli, as their deaths were senseless and avoidable.
